It is fair to say that I did not get alot of sleep last night. I woke up every hour from 9pm - 4am and then just gave up and started getting ready for work. I got Aniyah dressed and she slept through the whole thing. She's not used to getting up so early. I dropped her off at 6:30 and she slept through her mom's tears! Today was the first time I was away from her since the time I found out I was pregnant back in August. I called the sitter a couple of times throughout the day and she did very well.
My return to work went well; students and staff welcomed me back and I actually felt missed. It didnt take long before I was back into my daily routine. Although as soon as 3:30 hit, I was so out of there. I couldnt wait to pick up Aniyah even though we were headed to the doctor.
Now as for the doctor's visit, Aniyah weighed in at 12 pounds 4 ozs!!! Wow, she gained almost 3lbs from last month. She grew an inch too. That was the good news; the bad news came with the 4 shots she received, 2 in each thigh. Her feelings were so hurt! It took her a little bit to regroup but she finally did. She was quite a trooper. Well, we made it through the first day and hopefully each day will get a little easier. Although I know there will never be a day that I didnt wish we were home hangin out.
