Really? Did she just say that!

Just when we think Gabbie has surprised us, she comes up with something else. This morning we were going through the tv channels and she yells out, "Stop mommie, I want to watch Prince William." It was the Today Show going over the Royal wedding and yes it was Prince William. Are you kidding me? She is only 2!

Easter Sunday

We made it to mass on Easter Sunday and survived with a 2 year old. Thank goodness mass is only an hour long! Here are pictures of Aniyah and her daddy before mass.

Race for the Cure Day

Today we participated in the Race for the Cure. Because of the 42,000 people we opted for the 1 mile family walk to help with the heavy traffic. Although the day was not so good, we had a fun time.

End of a Good Week

We had a pretty good week; it was busy but fairly uneventful. Last night we went to dinner with Gabbie's grandparents to celebrate her dad's state championship win. He was off early this morning since they left at 7am to DC. I hope that they are able to meet the President but with the budget issues going on who knows? Nonetheless,I am sure they will have a great time.
Gabbie's big thing lately is calling her mom and dad by their first names....interesting! When she is trying to get her point across or we are taking too long, it goes from mommie and daddy to Maggie and Jarmel. (Jarmel is her dad's middle name which is what all of his family including myself call him). She takes in everything.
The other day her dad slipped and said, "Shit" and sure enough Ms. Gabbie repeated it several times.....ugh!!!!!!
Looking forward to enjoying warmer weather, it is supposed to rain but as long as it is above 50, I'm good.

Spring Break Coming to an End

The last week has been busy but restful. Gabbie and I had to get in some doctor appts but overall we had a great week together. I truly enjoy spending my time with her. Even though there are moments where I wonder if there is not a 15 year old girl in that 2 year old body, lol. She's talking and using complete sentences, which is amazing. And even funnier is she tells on her parents quite frequently. For example, if daddy uses mommy's water bottle, she runs and tells me that daddy is using my stuff.
For fun this week we went to the Children's Museum and she had a great time. We only had one meltdown right before we left; her parents are learning.
As for Gabbie's dad, early in the week he had a couple of tv appearances with the team and on Tuesday, they were recognized by Gleaners Food Bank for their state championship win. One of the student athletes received some scholarship money so that was nice. The big news came on Wednesday when the coaches and team found out that Goodwill is sending them to Washington, DC to attend the National Goodwill Conference. There story of perseverance and heart will be featured to all who attend the national conference. And even better, they will be given the opportunity to meet President and Mrs. Obama.....now how awesome is that! An all expensive 4 day trip to DC and meet the President; I'm jealous! But it is well deserved....what an opportunity for those 8 young men; an opportunity of a lifetime.
Back to work tomorrow and life as we call normal. The good thing is this part of the school year moves so quick; school will be out before we know it.
