What A Week!
This week was pretty tough; Gabbie and RJ were both sick. On Tuesday, I got the call that RJ had thrown up so I picked him up and of course Gabbie did not want to stay at daycare. So off they went to Nana and Pawpaw's. On Wednesday I went in later and took RJ to the doctor. He had to have a breathing treatment and he was just miserable. When we got home, I got the call that Gabbie had thrown up so I had to go pick her up at daycare. Oh man! So Thursday and Friday, Gabbie and RJ hung out at NaNa and Pawpaw's. We are very thankful they could be taken care of by their grandparents. They are now on the mend and hopefully on Tuesday they will be back at daycare. We all survived the week, a little crankier, sleep deprived but we survived:)

500 Kids Day Festival
On Saturday, we headed down to Monument Circle for Gabbie's first official race. We entered her in the 3 year old 2 block race. It was great weather and fun to see all the little 3 years waiting to participate. There was such a large crowd that their were 5 heats of 3 years. Gabbie was in the 4th heat. When the gun went off, she took off in a sprint. Of course as a former track coach, I thought "oh no; she's going to run out of gas" And sure enough about half way through, her sprint turned into a slow jog:) With a little cheering on from her daddy, she finished the race strong. We were so proud. And she was so excited to get her medal and water for finishing! We may have a little athlete on our hands; we will see what the future holds.

6 Month Checkup
RJ had his 6month checkup this week and the boy weighs 20 pounds 12 ounces...he's our little "chunkster"
He is growing so fast! He is doing quite well and looking good. If only he would sleep through the night:)
