Today I experienced my first Mother's Day. I must admit it was surreal. Honestly, there was a time I thought that I would never be a mom and had just about resigned myself to that fact. Through God's grace and blessing, I gave birth to Aniyah. The meaning of her name, "God's gift" is truly that to me. I have experienced many difficulties but if I had to do over, I would 10 fold because she is worth the world and more. How I ever got so lucky to have this little girl, I don't know but I am extremely grateful.
Today I noticed just how strong she is getting. She can hold her head up pretty good; she's been practicing. We are beginning our last week together before I go to work so I am going to relish in the time that I spend with her. She is quite a special little girl.
