This morning we were up early to take part in the Jason Baker Memorial Walk/Run. Many years ago, one of my students"Gabbi" lost her older brother in the line of duty. At the time she was 12 years old and it was pretty traumatic. As the years passed, I was her teacher but we became good friends. Through high school, she always came back to help me out. Now she is 21, and is "Tinker Bell" at DisneyWorld! She has always had dreams of acting etc and now she is. It was a big surprise to her to see me but also because she did not know I was expecting. So this morning, Gabbi, my student, met Gabbi, my daughter; it was pretty cool!
After the walk, Gabbi got dressed and went to church with her dad and grandparets; Hence, who could resist this face? Nothing like being excited about going to church:)
