Reaching Out

It has been a tough week at school but Gabbi always has a way of making her mom feel better. Today, when I arrived at the sitter, she was being held by her when I entered. For the first time, she reached out for me! Her actions totally made my week; the girl recognizes her mom....that was pretty cool. I underestimated the amount of guilt that I feel daily for the amount of time I spend away from her. I often worry that she will think the sitter is actually her mother! But today, Gabbi gave her insecure mom a little slice of heaven and I am thankful.
