The snow is coming down and we could have up to 12 inches by morning. So, tomorrow could be a 2 hour delay or no school at all, just depends on how much we actually get. I must admit the drive home was pretty slow; good thing I live close.
Today, we had a committee visit our school and interview staff, students, and community members in order for our school to receive accreditation. I was put in charge of this at the beginning of the school year and it consumed my life. Needless to say I am glad it is over AND I think we did very well. We will find out tomorrow if our district receives the accreditation.
I have a doctor's appt on Thursday and I am anxious to have the ultrasound to see if I really am ahead of schedule and to see if she is ok. Being at the high school and pregnant is funny, the kids are always looking out for me, making sure I am ok. BUT sometimes they say the darnest things! For example, "Ms. Hernandez, are you having triplets?" Of course I'm thinking, "dang am I that huge?!" or I got this one yesterday, " You're looking mighty plump Ms. Hernandez!" Of course that one came from a basketball player....dang that boy!! And even more interesting are the number of kids that want to touch my stomach!
The joy of education....there is never a dull moment; I think that is why I love it so much.
