No School BUT snow shoveling!

Update: The plows came in around 11am then I had to shovel the pile of snow to get onto the street. The drive to school was a mess! then when I got there, there was no one there....ugh!!
Oh well, I stopped at the grocery and made it home in one piece. It is going to be a mess for tomorrow's morning drive! Apparently, these 12.8 inches of snow are the 6th worst in Indiana history, who would have thought it.

The call came at 4:45am, "No school!" I made my phone tree calls and went back to bed for a couple of hours since the principal said to get there when I could. Well, I opened the garage door at 7:45 only to realize we really did have a foot of snow on the ground. Now I hate snow shoveling and thankfully my neighbor was outside using his snowblower on his driveway. I began shoveling and must have looked pretty pathetic so he came over and helped. I called my principal to let him know I would be running really behind because our subdivision had not been plowed yet. He informed me to stay home because he had gotten stuck trying to get out of his driveway. You don't have to tell me twice! the problem now is getting out into the street. Until the plows come through, getting stuck is all we are going to end up doing. It is still snowing now but should stop in the next couple of hours, who knows how much we will end up with. Oh the joys of Indiana weather!

Well I am glad you didn't have to go to work. We had freezing rain last night and James spent 20 minutes de-icing our cars. I guess we thought it wasn't going to be that bad and it was. Well I had to come to work and the highway I take to work was almost a ghost highway. Its one of the busiest in Dallas and I was amazed to hardly see anyone on it. Well I better get to work. Glad your doing ok.
