Today I went in to get my stitches removed. It was actually very quick and painless. My incision is hair thin and I am thoroughly impressed with my doctors work. Throughout my pregnancy I refused to look at the scale when I went in for every visit. Today I actually looked and I am 5lbs away from my starting weight. So my hope is that in 4 wks when I return I will be down 8-10 lbs. We will see how that goes. My stomach looks and feels like this pile of mush!! I hate it!
As for Aniyah, we have stopped pumping and she is on formula only. I wasn't pumping enough at a time to cover each feeding so I scrapped the whole thing. I clearly underestimated the difficulty of breastfeeding and I truly respect moms who can do it! At least now, I feel at ease that she is getting enough to eat at each feeding. She has no patience when it comes to getting her food:) We go see the pediatrician tomorrow for her 2 week visit. Hopefully all will go well.
