I began shopping for Gabbi's party on Saturday and I must admit it was total madness. There is so much stuff! There are themes, colors, plastic ware, decorations, goodie bags, goodie bag toys. Online you can find personalized candy, mint tins and bottled water....OMG! There was so much pink I thought I was going to go blind...There was "birthday princess", "birthday diva", "birthday queen", and that doesn't even cover the cartoon characters and sesame street, you get the picture!
I was planning on giving adult goodie bags but scrapped that idea and found some songs that are about daughters. So, last night I spent downloading music and I will begin burning CD's in order to finish by birthday time. Those who know me best, know I am "rough around the edges" and have never been much of a "mushy" person so planning fun, mushy stuff is not my thing BUT I am learning. Now if the kids were coming over and we were going to do laps and practice now that would be great and I would be in my element:) It's never too early to learn the discipline of being an athlete :)
