Bilingual Education

Tonight Gabbi and I have added an event into our bedtime routine. She has been used to the 3 "B"'s (bottle, bath, bed) and this has worked very well. But I am adamant that my daughter know, understand and appreciate her Hispanic heritage. And I definitely want her to speak Spanish so tonight we added another B to our routine, a "bedtime story." I have found some great bilingual story books that are large and colorful, full of short stories that read in English followed by a Spanish translation. Our first book tonight was titled, "My Mom is Great, Mi mama es estupenda" Of course, I picked that one out:) I hope she is soaking this all in and one day she and I will communicate effectively in Spanish.
